On January 20, Kim Jeong-hyun, leader of the Anti-Communist Youth League, who attended the inauguration ceremony of the 47th U.S. President Donald Trump, on January 21, the day after the inauguration, attended the 60th Presidential Inaugural National Prayer Service, the final official event of the presidential inauguration, and delivered the ‘Letter Pleading for President Yoon Suk-yeol’s Protection’ to House Speaker Mike Johnson. It was confirmed that the letter contained President Yoon Suk-yeol’s SNS post written just before his arrest by the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO), and details of election fraud, which was cited as the reason for declaring martial law.

Kim told House Speaker Mike Johnson, “I delivered a document written by President Yoon Suk-yeol just before his arrest, and many citizens fighting to protect freedom are concerned about the illegality of President Yoon Suk-yeol’s detention, and are praying for President Yoon Suk-yeol and the Republic of Korea.” According to Kim, House Speaker Mike Johnson replied, “Thank you for delivering the letter,” and firmly grasped Kim’s hands.
The U.S. House Speaker effectively represents the entire U.S. Congress. Similar to the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, the Speaker has the authority to designate standing committees for House members to work on, and notably, has the authority to appoint 9 out of 13 members of the Rules Committee, which can be considered the U.S. House Judiciary Committee.
In addition, as the highest-ranking elected official of the House, the Speaker has the power to appoint, dismiss, command, and supervise officials working in the House, such as the Clerk, Sergeant-at-Arms, Chief Administrative Officer, and House Chaplain, and also has the authority to appoint legal counsel and inspectors general in consultation with the opposition party. In the event of a presidential vacancy, the Speaker is second in the line of succession to the presidency, following the Vice President, who also serves as President of the Senate. Although the Speaker’s order of precedence is third, after the President and Vice President, the actual power is stronger than that of the Vice President.
While staying in Washington D.C. to attend President Trump’s inauguration, Kim Jeong-hyun met influential figures in politics in addition to House Speaker Mike Johnson, explained the situation in Korea, and discussed how both Korea and the U.S. could address election fraud issues. Brian Schimming, Chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, a prominent swing state in the U.S. that had election fraud controversies, is one of America’s leading figures actively working to resolve the election fraud issues that arose in the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
Brian Schimming was also mentioned in the indictment when President Donald Trump was charged with attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia. The 98-page indictment stated that among the 18 individuals charged alongside the President, Kenneth Chesebro, Rudy Giuliani, and Wisconsin Republican Chairman Brian Schimming reportedly met to discuss forming an alternate slate of Trump electors in Wisconsin.
According to Brian Schimming, when allegations of election fraud arose in 2020, President Trump asked House Speaker Mike Johnson to do his utmost for election integrity in the United States. Chairman Schimming, along with President Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson, worked to resolve election fraud issues and strengthen American election ethics to restore election fairness.
That day, Kim, along with Chairman Brian Schimming, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, discussed election fraud issues and solutions in Korea and the U.S. for over three hours, and had an in-depth conversation about how the two countries could cooperate.

Meanwhile, Kim Jeong-hyun, leader of the Anti-Communist Youth League, was revealed to have attended Trump’s inauguration by special invitation from Ma Young-ae, a North Korean human rights activist and president of the New York Salvation Comrades Association, and New Jersey State Assemblyman Robert Auth (5th term, Republican, 39th District). President Ma Young-ae is active as a representative for human rights and Korean-American community support activities for New Jersey Republican Assemblyman Robert Auth. Assemblyman Robert Auth is known for showing special interest in North Korean human rights issues and Korean Americans, and has taken the lead in resolving their grievances.
