Urgent Statement from the International North Korea Human Rights Alliance
We note that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who for decades threatened global peace, oppressed and massacred his own people, and justified dictatorship in the name of God, was killed on February 28, 2026, in a joint U.S.-Israel military operation.
History has proven how tragic the fate of dictators can be, and has shown that God’s bow is always drawn.
We are well aware that the Iranian people have long fought for freedom and dignity under oppression. We remember the bloody history—the Green Revolution of 2009, the street protests of 2019 and 2022, and the resistance following the Mahsa Amini incident.
The International North Korea Human Rights Alliance expresses deep solidarity with the Iranian people’s aspirations for freedom and dignity, and supports their right to build a new future with their own hands.
We also do not forget that the Khamenei regime formed an alliance of oppressors by providing drones and weapons to the North Korean (Chosun) dictatorship. Dictators have sustained each other across borders and trampled together on the people’s voices for freedom. However, history has always proven that oppression is not eternal.

People of Iran! Do not hesitate! Rise up! And fight! Show that you are awakened lions, roaring lions! We remember the blood you have shed and the precious sacrifices you have made—prove that your justice lives on in that land! Your spirit and will become the spark of our hope, and your passion is like a mighty torrent—history will remember you!
The North Korean defectors of the International North Korea Human Rights Alliance, together with your will, shall melt another frozen land shrouded in darkness and buried in desolation, and declare the end of oppression and tyranny!
People of conscience around the world! Unfold the map! Find Chosun! Find Chosun, where 26 million people are trapped in silence! Find Chosun, where time has stopped and life has ceased.
Silence and indifference are not yours—show that freedom and justice are yours!
Victory belongs to those who do not abandon freedom. We advance together. Toward victory!
